Do You Need A New Roof?
An undetected leak could result in severe damage to wood and sheet rock and create other costly problems in your structure. Most roofs in our area need replacement every 14-18 years. Don’t let leaves and debris pile up on your roof, valleys or gutters. Are the shingles losing granules and/or curling up on the ends? Are they discolored? Are the vents and flashing raised up? If anything looks out of the ordinary, call us as soon as possible to help you determine whether you need a simple repair or if your roof needs to be replaced. If it’s time to replace your roof a consultant can meet with you to inspect your existing roof and go over options for the replacement to determine what’s best for you and your home. Our goal is to make sure your roof performs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Low Slope Roofs
While not common on homes, residential applications of a low slope or flat roof roofing system include condominium complexes, row homes and townhouses, or smaller designs traditionally used on a porch or garage rooftop attached to the primary residence with a steep slope. There are thousands of low slope roofing configurations to choose from, as well as numerous roof deck types, insulation requirements, roof membrane requirements and other factors to consider. Roof slope is an important feature – and the primary factor – in your roof’s design. It affects not only the interior volume of your structure, but also the drainage, style and specific materials needed to build your roof. Steep Slope Roof
Steep slope roofing, traditionally associated with residential roofing, is designed to be more aesthetically appealing, because your roof can account for nearly 50 percent of the exterior visual appearance of your home. Steep slope roofing also tends to last longer than low slope roofing, because it sheds water more efficiently and has less direct exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays.
